I am an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, currently working on telescopes to observe the afterglow of the Big Bang. I started this blog as a postdoctoral fellow in astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology, in order to write about my experience in Antarctica deploying the SPIDER telescope during the 2014-15 austral summer. More about me at my directory page or research group page.
